How to Reach Lavasa

By Air

You can consider deboarding at either Mumbai Airport (BOM) or Pune Airport (PNQ) to travel to Lavasa as per your comfort. However, out of the two, Pune Airport is the nearest aerodrome situated about 60-70 km away. The airport has good flight connectivity with other Indian cities and towns via direct and connecting flights. As you get off the airport, book a taxi to reach here; it will approximately cost you INR 2,000 - INR 3,000. 

By Train

The nearest railway station is the Pune Junction (PUNE) situated about 60 km away. Situated on the Mumbai-Chennai line, this train station has overall good connectivity with other Indian cities. From the station, you can easily take a cab to reach Lavasa. 

  • From Bhopal - Board Goa Express SPL from Bhopal Junction and deboard at Pune Junction
  • From Delhi - Board Goa Express SPL from H.Nizamuddin Junction and deboard at Pune Junction

By Road

The public transportation via road to Lavasa is not very frequent and quite average. However, private buses have good connectivity operating to and fro Lavasa. On the other hand, there are many people who would deliberately not recommend taking any means of public transport to reach here, the reason being the roadways are so beautiful and filled with beautiful views that the best way to experience a trip to Lavasa would be via your own two/four-wheeler. 

Keeping this in mind, first travel to Pune via some means of public transport and from there you can rent out a bike or a car as per your requirement and travel here.
