The much-anticipated Ziro Music Festival 2025 dates, are from September 25 to 28, 2025, held in the scenic Ziro Valley, Lower Subansiri district, Arunachal Pradesh. History of Ziro Music Festival

The idea of the Ziro Music Festival first came to Bobby Hano and Anup Kutty and was brought to life in 2012. In an interview, Bobby Hano shared the motive behind organising the festival. He mentioned that political unrest delayed the Itanagar Concert when he was promoting Delhi Band Menwhopause in the Northeast. During this time, he and Anup Kutty (Guitarist of Menwhopause) spent three magical days in Ziro Valley. They discussed organising a small festival there, inviting their favourite bands. They believed in the philosophy of oneness, and music was the perfect medium to bring that philosophy into reality. Thus, on September 14, 2012, the first Ziro Music Festival was born.

By Road

Reaching Ziro village will be easier than going to Guwahati. You can take a taxi from Guwahati to Ziro, which will take around 6 hours to reach the place. If you want to go by car, you must take NH 27 or NH 15 from Guwahati to reach Ziro village. It will take around 13 hours to reach. Also, from Itanagar to Ziro will take almost 5 hours by car via Nh15 and NH13.

By Train

The nearest railway station is Naharlagun Railway Station, which takes hardly 3 hours to reach Ziro. It is situated in the Papum Pare District of Arunachal Pradesh and was opened on April 07, 2014. Naharlagun city is just 15 kilometres away from Itanagar, the Capital of Arunachal Pradesh, which is famous for its Ita Fort and Gompa (consecrated by the Dalai Lama).
