This medieval castle was built by Raja Sidh Singh of Kullu around 1460 AD and is situated in Naggar, roughly 21 km from Manali and 26 km from Kullu. Naggar Castle architecture originally involved a medieval stone and wood mansion, which was later converted into a rest house before being handed over to HPTDC in 1978 to run as a heritage hotel. The hotel offers several airy and spacious rooms, each of which is decorated with traditional Western Himalayan architecture. The main highlight of the hotel is its art museum that showcases paintings by Nicholas Roerich. Naggar Castle hotel includes modern amenities like an in-house restaurant, WiFi, and 24-hour power backup. And the best part is, their restaurant even serves traditional Himachali cuisine.
