Back then in 1935, the Kashmir House Dharamshala was built by Lala Amar Nath Sood, who was further purchased by the then Maharaja of J&K, Sh. Hari Singh. After a few years, the raja then sold this beautiful property to the Punjab government. At the end, the Kashmir House Dharamshala was later handed over to HPTDC to run as a deluxe hotel by the State government. This heritage hotel provides a quiet yet scenic stay away from city noise. It features spacious rooms, attached baths with hot or cold water, a restaurant, parking facilities, and more. The guests often praise the delicious food, cleanliness, and helpful staff. Travelers can also explore other well-known attractions, as it has close proximity to Dalai Lama Temple Complex (1.2 miles), Aghanjar Mahadev Temple (0.7 miles), and Dharamshala War Memorial (1.1 miles).
