Originally built as a Dak Bungalow and staging post where horses were changed for the final stretch to Shimla, Hotel Meghdoot is now operated by HPTDC as a hotel known for its comfortable stays. This hotel comes with the most beautiful scenic views along the NH鈥�22 near Kiarighat. Although the rooms here are simple and comfortable, they have large windows or balconies that open up to views of the hills. Since it is about 20鈥�25 minutes from Shimla, you can even visit major tourist spots.
